"..It was just what we were looking for with a varied and entertaining repertoire...I am still impressed how Nick played for so long without sheet music!" - Jarvis Woodhouse Events

Nick Ramm, Zhenya Strigalev Duo/Quartet

Saxophone virtuoso Zhenya Strigalev has performed in Kremlin in Moscow and the Purcell Room in London and he received a full scholarship to attend the Royal Academy Of Music. Since graduating he has formed an essential part of the local jazz scene. The couple met in the now defunct central London club 'Shinos' and the excellent rapport between Strigalev and Ramm was born. Performing jazz and latin classics, as well as some original material, this duo realizes the previously unexplored potential of a St Petersburg and London jazz sound. They released an album of original music called 'Off The Cut' in 2006 - a quartet recording with Dave Whitford on double bass and Gene Calderazzo on drums. In may 2010 they opened the 'Partager' festival at Kings Place with an ode to Django Reinhardt. His classic tunes were set within Strigalev and Ramm's own grooves and motifs.

Fiona Staniland Duo

As well as singing jazz standards and bossanovas, Fiona has her own theatre company F'eatre. She has produced three shows: 'Je T'aime Serge Gainsbourg','Darlene Mietrich - The One Who Didn't Make It To Hollywood' and 'Morricone In Love' currently showing in Picturehouse cinemas in London. Her entrancing voice has led her to perform at Spitz, Pizza Express and at Lattitude Festival, Ludlow Festival and Guardian Hey Festival. The Duo performed together at the Old Vic Theatre's ground floor bar, have a monthly night at at 'Cellar Door' in Aldwych and appear at weddings, parties and corporate events up and down the country.
